Meet Our Globetrotter in chief

 

I’m Shandra, and yes, I’m a Caribbean girl. But don’t let my laid-back attitude fool you — when it comes to planning your wedding, I couldn’t be more detail-oriented. This is just one thing you should know about me; here are a few more:

  • I grew up in Curaçao but have also lived in the Bahamas,The Netherlands, Massachusetts and Orlando before settling in South Florida. I know how lots of different people like to party! I use that knowledge to plan your best experience.

  • I speak five different languages, so trust me when I say, with me on your team, we can make your dream wedding come true no matter where you want to celebrate. 

  • With over 13 years of Hospitality, Travel and Event industry experience, I know what it takes to blend the art of event planning with travel and amazing food and cultural experiences.

Planning a destination wedding is a big project that takes time & expertise. The plethora of information out there is oftentimes confusing and also very time-consuming to go through alone. You need someone with not only wedding planning experience but also travel experience, hospitality industry knowledge & connections and most importantly knowledge about your destination.

+ Can you help me with my marriage license and other paperwork?

Absolutely, we are very experienced in helping you navigate marriage laws and licenses in many countries. This is one of the biggest perks of hiring experienced destination wedding planners — it’s our job to know this stuff so you don’t have to.

+ Can you plan my honeymoon too?

Yes! We can offer you our travel concierge service that includes booking your travel and accommodation to and from the wedding, to and from the honeymoon, honeymoon excursions, and more!

+ What’s the difference between your customized services and the all-inclusive resort destination weddings?

All-inclusive Resort weddings are oftentimes set packages with little room for customization. At Resorts you are oftentimes tied to only working with their select group of vendors and your ceremony may also not be entirely private due to the amount of other resort guests. The benefit of hiring a boutique destination wedding planning company like us is that you will get an experience that is immersed in the local culture, as we will work with you in an attentive way to create unique experiences tailored to you and your guests.

+ What’s the difference between you and a Destination Wedding Travel Agency?

You may have seen Travel agencies offer destination weddings online. Most Destination wedding travel agents work with resorts and booking all-inclusive destination resort weddings. They focus on finding your resort and handling the accommodation and travel part only. We offer a full customized experience, from all the elements of your wedding day to other activities and events during your wedding week or weekend. Think of us as your Travel Concierge and Event planner all into one. We are boutique destination wedding planners, this means we are a small business and focus on a personalized connection with our clients. This isn’t a massive agency or faceless booking wholesaler.
